BIOGRAPHY

Meng Juanyi, Hazel (b.1999)  in Singapore and is a gifted artist currently dedicated to her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in painting at LASALLE College of the Arts. Her creative endeavors have led her on a path of exploration through various artistic mediums, including drawings, photography, and digital arts. Hazel draws her inspiration from personal experiences and battles with mental health issues, using art as a medium for self-expression and healing.

Hazel's artistic journey traces back to her formative years in high school when she received formal training in fine arts from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). In 2021, she successfully graduated with a diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts, marking a significant milestone in her artistic development. Alongside her passion for visual arts, Hazel also boasts a musical background, having attained the 7th grade in piano and completed her studies with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

One of Hazel's most notable achievements was the exhibition of her 3D texture sculpture titled 'The Spiral Aloe' at the Lasalle Open House 2019. This intricate piece was showcased as part of the Arts and Design Exhibition, showcasing her talent for creating captivating and innovative artworks that push the boundaries of traditional art forms.
